Hi Zeno: It seems that math formula in Latex is not supported in this wiki. Is it possible to enable the supported so that we can write description for details? --Tianqi Chen

Hi, this is a very good suggestion. I will ask Alan to enable it. --Zeno Gantner 09:55, 24 September 2011 (UTC)

Re:welcome

Thanks for the welcoming message. I came here to get some information, but as a wiki addict, I couldn't resist adding my two cents :) By the way, the message above reminded me: While I was creating Template:Person, I felt the need for Extension:ParserFunctions. They would be very useful for many tasks with templates, namely standardization/automation of information adding, navigation, etc. Could you provide that the extension is installed/enabled on this wiki? Other extension that is quite useful/time-saving is Extension:Interwiki, for providing shortcut prefixes for commonly linked pages, in the form [[site:pagename]]. Also, it would be great if you could define $wgUseInstantCommons = true; in LocalSettings.php, so we can use images from Wikimedia Commons. Cheers, Waldir (talk) 14:01, 9 January 2012 (UTC)

Hi Waldir, I will send an e-mail to User:Alan, who runs the wiki. --Zeno Gantner 14:31, 9 January 2012 (UTC)
I'll try and add the extensions. I am a little swamped atm so please bear with me. --Alan 17:29, 9 January 2012 (UTC)
Thanks, Alan, that'd be great :) On a different subject, I noticed that in the To Do List page there is a "new logo" item. I was wondering if you guys had considered something along the "stand out" concept; for example, [1], [2], [3] or [4]. What are your thoughts about this? Alternatively, has there been any discussions on the subject which I could consult? --Waldir (talk) 17:56, 9 January 2012 (UTC)
Waldir, extensions are added. Wikimedia Commons images enabled. --Alan 19:58, 9 January 2012 (UTC)
Thanks! That was quick :) --Waldir (talk) 16:43, 10 January 2012 (UTC)
Hm, sorry not to have requested this before, but when you have the time, could you also set autoconfirmed users not to see the captchas? It's getting kinda annoying :/ If you do that, you'll probably want to raise the thresholds for autoconfirmed promotion (by default they are zero, so every new user becomes autoconfirmed as soon as they register, which in practice would render captchas only visible to anonymous users if autoconfirmed ones were exempt). Alternatively, the "emailconfirmed" user group could be used for skipping captchas. What do you think? Thanks in advance, Waldir (talk) 16:55, 10 January 2012 (UTC)
Yet another subject: I created the page social filtering, but I'm not really an expert in the area (I'm here to learn), so could you please see if that description is correct? Thanks! --Waldir (talk) 19:22, 9 January 2012 (UTC)
